Christabel Png (b. 1993, Singapore) lives between London and Singapore. She was born into Chinese Hakka and Hokkien migratory trade histories and British colonial legacies that shape how she navigates place and identity. She holds a BA in Communications, and is completing an MA in Contemporary Art Practice at the Royal College of Art in London. Her multidisciplinary practice examines cultural lineages and the transformation of socio-technical systems through lived experience. She uses abstraction as a way of exploring biographical source material, drawing on her background in systems design to investigate philosophical and scientific frameworks that reframe the way we experience everyday life.
