A Journey in Motion
2024 - ongoing
Printed with reactive dye on silk, a material spun by silkworms during metamorphosis, the works respond to the environment in which they are placed. Light passes through its surface. Transformation persists as a microscopic process already underway.

The visual language of the series reflects the logic of Brownian motion, the constant movement of particles suspended in air and water, shaped by forces too small to see.
Through this lens, the work reveals a state of transition. Identity, like motion, rarely unfolds in straight lines. It shifts through contact, friction and distance.
Constructed as fields of shifted colour, the works hold both an ending and a beginning. They originate from footage of city traffic in Singapore, filmed from within a moving car headed for departure.
Fragments are isolated and magnified until their original context dissolves from view.
